I hope you are all enjoying this stretch of great weather. The course is in fabulous shape and the Drew crew is doing a fantastic job keeping the leaves at bay. It appears that warm, dry days will continue well into the second week of November. Enjoy these bonus rounds.
We are reaching the end of the golf year. As is the custom, we will hold an annual member meeting on Saturday, December 10 at 11am. In this meeting, we will give a state of the club presentation, including a review of our current financial condition, an update on the clubhouse renovation and a recap of the big moments of the past year. We will also look forward to the plans for the 2023 year. We hope many of you will come to hear these updates and give us your thoughts.
On October 30, the Board of Directors held the election for new Board members who will serve for the next three years. I am pleased to inform you that the membership has elected all three nominated candidates (see below). There were no “write-in” votes cast. We are very pleased that these three candidates are willing to serve and have received the support of the membership. I hope you will congratulate these new directors when you see them around the club.
Mr. Joseph Jackson
Mr. Patrick Byrns
Mr. Jeffrey Ensminger
The Board has also elected its officers for 2023. I hope you will join me in welcoming and congratulating Mr. Daniel Flaherty as your President for next year. We are also pleased to announce that Mr. Richard Birdd will serve as Vice-President, Mr. Jack Livingston will continue in the Treasurer role and Mr. Jeff Ensminger will become the Board’s Secretary. The club is most fortunate that these members will give their time and talents to these roles leading the club forward in 2023. They will welcome all of your thoughts and help as the year progresses.
November is the month of Thanksgiving. I am thankful for the many great moments of this past year at EACC and your support and encouragement along the way. I hope I will see many of you at the President’s Ball this coming weekend or at one of the remaining club events so that I can express my thanks to all of you.
Best wishes!
Sean Sullivan, President
