Dear Members,
I hope this message finds you all in good spirits and enjoying the start of another wonderful golf season here at our
club.
First and foremost, I must extend my sincerest gratitude to Drew and his exceptional team for their tireless efforts in
maintaining our course. The condition of our course is nothing short of fantastic. If you happen to cross paths with
them, please take a moment to express your appreciation for the outstanding job they are doing. Let’s all do our part
in preserving this gem of a course by repairing ball marks, raking sand traps, and filling divots in fairways with sand.
Together, we can ensure that our course remains pristine for everyone to enjoy.
In other news, I’m pleased to inform you that we are actively working on filling the open Director of Food &
Beverage position. An interview committee has been formed, and interviews will be conducted in the coming
week(s). While we search for the right candidate, I want to say Thank You to our exceptional house staff for their
hard work and dedication.
I recently had the pleasure of meeting with Julie LaManna, the President of the Women’s Board, to discuss their
upcoming projects and fundraising goals. I’m delighted to announce that they will be hosting the P.U.N.T Foundation
golf tournament on Monday, August 26. Let’s rally together to support this wonderful organization, which is
dedicated to raising awareness and funds for pediatric cancer research.
For our Pickleball enthusiasts, I have exciting news—the courts are nearing completion! The net supports are in
place, and it won’t be long before we can enjoy some thrilling matches on our new courts. I can’t wait to see the
finished product and witness the enthusiasm it brings to our members.
This week marks the beginning of our club-sponsored tournaments, starting with the Tulip. I extend my best wishes
to all participants, and may the weather and camaraderie make for an enjoyable experience for everyone involved.
Lastly, I want to express my gratitude to those of you who have shared suggestions for improving our club. Your
feedback is invaluable, and I encourage you to continue sharing your thoughts, concerns, and ideas. Please don’t
hesitate to reach out to me directly at 716-913-2964 (c) or rbirddie@yahoo.com.
Thank you for your ongoing support and dedication to making our club a better place for all members.
Warm regards,
Rich
