June is here and golf season is underway. The men’s Tulip tournament will kick off a busy month of play including ABC and Director’s Cup matches, the Senior Championship and culminating with the International Junior Masters at the end of the month. I would like to thank all the club members in advance for graciously allowing the IJM, a premier amateur golf event, take place on our course, along with all the volunteers who have made this tournament a great success annually since 1953! Once again, this year will feature both boys and girls’ divisions with players from around the world. Please try to come out and support these talented young golfers. I look forward to seeing everyone at the Finals Party on June 30th.
Since last fall the Club has undergone significant changes to both the facility and our staff. All these changes have been made to allow our members to have the best possible golf and social experience. Thank you for the patience you demonstrated during the construction. Unfortunately, our former Chef left suddenly for personal reasons. Our management team, along with kitchen and house staff, have done a great job in trying to minimize the effects of this key personnel loss, during the start of our busy season. Your patience is appreciated as our new Chef begins his tenure at the beginning of June. I am confident our House team will provide the excellent social and dining experience that our members deserve.
We are still planning a Re-Opening Celebration with details to follow. Looking forward to seeing you on the course soon!
