We kicked off September on the golf course with a very busy Labor Day weekend. The course was packed throughout the holiday weekend, and I think really set the tone for the upcoming fall season. Membership is full at 300 with 10 on the waiting list. We are setting up for a tremendous 2023 season.

Our final major of the year really put the cherry on the event season for us. It was a fantastic two days and the entire field seemed to have a really great time. Our Overall Champions were Cory Cullen & Jim Kane who had a score of +2 in the Chicago points quota format and that bettered the Overall Runners Up Al McCabe & Charles Burns by 4 points. Flight winners are as follows:

Barley – Alex Zach & Doug Babicz -10
Corn – Peter Lyons & Greg Lawless -9
Flax – Matt Hasselback & Chad Biniasz -11 Rice – Mike Smith & John Bonano -15
Oats – Ann Woloszynski & Mike Woloszynski -4 Wheat – Mark Cooke & Jim Collins -11

The Mulligans hosted their annual Mulligans Picnic on the 15th of the month. It was the first time the picnic was held at EACC. (At least during my tenure) What a nice opportunity to get the gang together for a casual 9 holes of golf followed by an informal dining experience.

We wrapped up our events in September with Pro Day/Superintendent’s Revenge and Drew did not disappoint! The setup was as challenging as I have seen since being here. Our team had a great time and I hope everyone who played did as well. Our Women’s and Mixed Flight was won by Lori Potter, Tami Krotje, Kim Kaul & Kendra Hancock with a net scramble score of 59. Our Men’s Flight was captured by Tom Lewis, Tom Siejak, Josh Jesonowski & Ben Burton with an amazing score of 57 leading to a net 53. Well done! Thank you to the field for your support and to our entire membership for your support throughout the season.

Please keep in mind, the time to spend any remaining shop credit is dwindling. Be sure to stop and grab some of our awesome fall gear that is starting to come in. All credit must be spent by the end of season. The books will be wiped clean as of November 15th.
