Our 2023 Major season kicked off on the 2nd and 3rd of June with the Tulip Tournament. Our winners after two days of better ball play were two of our Mulligans; Dick Hillegas and Bob Tait. In our 8 years leading the golf operation, we’ve yet to  have a team comprised of 2 Mulligans win a major, that was a fantastic way to put a ribbon on the event! They had a two-day score of 132 to win by only one stroke.  Jim Johnson and Rick Sambuchi came in second with 133. The gross champions were Cory Cullen and Jim Kane with 135 followed by Greg Seiser and Mike Boyczuk with 148. Flight winners were as follows:

Mashie – Matt Hasselback & Jayce Wallace – 133

Niblik – John Kozma & Paul O’Brien – 135

Cleek – Keith Junik & Andy Netzel – 137

Spoon – John McKenna & Dave Miller – 135

Brassie – Jeff Burke & Matt Conron – 138

Driver – Dennis Woloszynski & Frank Trzepkowski – 136

Baffy – Kevin Leffler & Rick Stein – 139 (MOC)

Our Social Golf calendar started on the 9th with everyone’s favorite, Dice Ball Scramble. The winning team, with a score of 28 and winning on a match of cards, was Bob & Dianne Keddie along with Jeff Pappalardo and his guest, Kim Dewan.

The Senior Club Championship was contested on Saturday June 10th and Sunday June 11th.  Paul O’Brien fired an incredible 73 on Sunday to come out of nowhere and take the crown. Peter Lyons was our Net Champion with a score of 142. Flight Winners were as follows:

50-59 – Dave Malcolm – 165

60-69 – Jim Sickler – 175

70 & Above – Rich Day – 167

Our Women’s senior champion for 2023 is Ann Woloszynski she fired a one day score of 86 that was good enough to claim victory over Anna Davidson.

The Ladies 18 Hole Guest Day was on June 13th and the event was a hit. Molly Zittel and her guests, Val Holmes, Christy Malo, and Stacey Galanes conquered the two-format event with a score of 133.

Social Golf on the 16th featured a Mixed 2 of 4 Shamble format which boded well for Scott & Jamie Gliss along with their guests, Kurt & Kari Williamson who shot 61 to come out on top.

We certainly want all our members to have an enjoyable time on the golf course. Music is a fantastic way to hang out and have a good time on the course, however, please make sure the music is being played at a reasonable level as to not hinder the enjoyment of others on the golf course. It is important to be respectful of others!
