I can’t tell you how excited we are to get things moving for 2023. The days are getting longer, the temps are beginning to show signs of spring and my daffodils have just broken ground. That means golf is just around the corner.
Unfortunately, I don’t have a lot to add from last month’s article as the weather has prevented us from logging in any measurable time on the course. I will say, this slow start as provided us the time to get the golf shop in full season order to start the year. Historically, we are chasing our tails in attempting to get things out and displayed. I will be excited to see the reactions to some of the new product lines I’ve selected. We have added Johnnie-O, Swannies, and Stitch as just a few of the new brands for 2023.
While on the topic of merchandise, I’m sure you’ve seen the emails surrounding the spring raffle. This has become an incredibly popular way to start adding to your credit books. Remember, you can’t lose in this one. Tickets are $100.00 and if you pay cash you receive an added 10% to your book. We have 3 great items up for grabs. (Driver of choice, Blue Tees Range finder and speaker, and a golf bag of choice) First, second and third place tickets will have their choice of the prizes. Once the item is selected, it’s off the board. And here’s the kicker, with one of the 3 winning tickets, you still get the $100.00 on your credit book! You can buy as many tickets as you want to help offset that new set of irons you were planning on buying this year.
On the membership front, we remain full with no signs of slowing down. We’ve recently populated our wait list to 8. I am confident that once we can show off our new clubhouse, that number will rise fast!! On that note, you hopefully had an opportunity to read the note from the BOD last week. I want to reiterate the importance of giving the workers the time and space they need to finish the project. The more space we give them, the quicker we will be able to enjoy the finished product.
Keep an eye out for your emails and Clubster as we will be sending out regular communications informing you of the course opening timeline. Everyone gets excited this time of year. We will be out there before we know it!
Lastly, please join me in welcoming Brooks Galek as the newest addition to the EACC family. He just turned 4 months old and is keeping Kevin and Sicily on their toes!
