It looks like we are finally getting going with the golf season and the course has responded well to the
warmer spring temperatures. We have wrapped up our aerification for the spring on greens and will be working on
some cultivation on other playing surfaces in the coming weeks.
The electric lines and poles that run from the front of the clubhouse down to #10 tee have been removed
and we have removed the small electrical shed and old well cover by the 10th tee that had become eyesores over
the years. This should make for a much cleaner look to the area. We have buried electric from the clubhouse to the
pond on #18 to run the fountain and that is working well. The new roofs for the pro shop and cart barn have been
installed and painting of the white trim on both of those buildings is scheduled to begin shortly. A split rail fence
will replace the hedges in the front of the clubhouse as well and should be here early in the month. Plans for the
golf course this year are the reworking of #’s 5, 9, 11 and 13 main tee decks. Another busy summer for sure.
We will be rolling out a new communication tool shortly that will allow us to send a text message to the
membership in the event of last-minute updates or issues at the club as well as being able to target different groups
so you aren’t being overwhelmed with messages that don’t have an impact on you. Be on the lookout for that.
I look forward to seeing all of you. Remember, if you have question that I can help with don’t hesitate to
contact me at drew.thompson@eastauroracc.com.
See you on the Course!
