From the President
2023 has been quite an adventure for East Aurora Country Club!
Our Clubhouse facility was completely remodeled and updated. We have a full golf
membership and a record number of house members. The Club is financially strong and in a
good position to continue to advance the Long-Range Plan.
Drew Thompson and his staff provided us with the best golfing conditions in Western
New York, while constantly improving the course, bunkers, tree work and cart paths with
minimal interruption in play. Thank you Drew. David Jones and the golf staff had and
exceptional year with all our major events sold out and over 20,000 rounds played this year.

It has been amazing to witness the willingness of EACC Club members who volunteer
their time and expertise to continue to improve our Club and its experience. A sincere thanks
to everyone who was involved in the construction from planning, finance and execution.
Bryan Smith, Dennis Woloszynski, Matt Hasselback and Mark Melas put forth and incredible
amount of time, effort and expertise to make this project a huge success. We all owe them a
debt of gratitude.
Thank you to Mary Kamien and the Women’s Board for all the wonderful
programming of Club special events, beautification projects and fundraising for the P.U.N.T
Pediatric Cancer Collaborative. We are fortunate to have such a generous membership to
support such a worthwhile cause.
We are in a great position as we move into 2024. Under Rich Birdd’s leadership, the
2024 Board will do a tremendous job advancing the Long-Range Plan, while working towards
further enhancing the House experience. I wish them the best of luck.
It has truly been an honor and a privilege to serve as the President of East Aurora
Country Club. I have enjoyed meeting and working closely with our exceptional Board
members over the last three years. The knowledge and expertise they have shared with our
Club has been remarkable. Thank you all. Finally, most importantly, thank you to my wife
Leayn, and my family for their support and encouragement this year. Wishing you and your
families a Safe and Happy Holiday Season! Looking forward to seeing you next year on the
course!
